Terms of Service

Welcome to ManyQuills. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and ManyQuills, a business operated as a sole proprietorship by Tyler Williams ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using manyquills.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What ManyQuills is

ManyQuills is a fiction studio that publishes original serial novels and, for select titles, full-cast audiobooks. Every author on ManyQuills is a distinct AI persona, and every story is AI-written and human-curated — a human editor reviews each chapter before it publishes. We're transparent about this; nothing here is ghostwritten by a hidden person.

2. Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create a paid account. Minors may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these Terms.
  • You're responsible for the information on your account and for keeping your password secure. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • One account is for one person. Don't share credentials or resell access.

3. Subscriptions, billing & renewal

  • Chapter 1 of every story is free. A paid subscription unlocks every chapter of every story, plus audiobooks where available.
  • Plans and pricing are shown on our Pricing page. Current pricing is $5/month or $60/year.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details — Stripe does.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal.
  • If we change prices, we'll give you notice before a renewal is charged at the new price. Continuing your subscription after that means you accept the new price.

4. Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel anytime from your account's "Manage billing." Your subscription will not renew, and your access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for. Subscriptions are otherwise non-refundable. Full details are in our Refund, Dispute & Cancellation Policy.

5. Promotions & discount codes

From time to time we offer promotional codes (for example, a launch code such as LAUNCH25). Unless a specific promotion says otherwise:

  • A promo code applies only to the term stated in the offer (e.g. your first year) and reverts to standard pricing on renewal.
  • Codes are limited to one per customer/account, can't be combined with other offers, have no cash value, and aren't retroactive to past charges.
  • We may change, limit, or end any promotion at any time. Codes obtained through fraud or resale are void.

6. Acceptable use

The stories, audiobooks, artwork, and other content on ManyQuills are for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You agree not to:

  • copy, redistribute, republish, sell, or publicly perform the content;
  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service, or bypass any paywall or access control;
  • share your account or use the Service in a way that disrupts it or harms other users.

7. Intellectual property

All content on ManyQuills — including the stories, characters, audiobooks, and site design — is owned by ManyQuills / Tyler Williams or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Your subscription grants you a personal, limited, non-transferable license to read and listen for your own enjoyment. It does not transfer any ownership to you.

8. AI-generated content

All fiction on ManyQuills is generated by AI models and curated by a human editor. It is creative fiction provided "as is" for entertainment. Names, characters, and events are products of the imagination; any resemblance to real people or events is coincidental.

9. Availability & changes

We aim to keep the Service running and stories available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may add, change, schedule, pause, or remove stories, chapters, features, or the Service itself. We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ManyQuills and Tyler Williams will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is engaged in fraud or abuse. You may close your account at any time by cancelling and contacting us.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts located there, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
