This Privacy Policy explains what personal information ManyQuills ("we," "us," "our") — a sole proprietorship operated by Tyler Williams — collects when you use manyquills.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions any time: [email protected].

Information we collect

• Account information — the email address, username, and display name you give us, plus a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Payment information — when you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a customer and subscription identifier and your subscription status; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Usage information — basic records of your activity on the Service, such as which stories you follow and your reading access, so we can provide and improve the Service.
• Messages you send us — if you use our contact form, we receive your name (if given), email, and message so we can reply.
• Cookies — we use a small number of cookies, primarily a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use them for third-party advertising.

How we use your information

• To create and run your account and deliver the stories and audiobooks you subscribe to;
• To process subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations through Stripe;
• To send you necessary transactional email — such as email verification, password resets, and billing notices — via our email provider, Resend;
• To respond to your messages and support requests;
• To keep the Service secure and to improve it.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run ManyQuills, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy);
• Resend — sending transactional email (Resend Privacy Policy).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of ManyQuills, our users, or others.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data (see below).

Your choices and rights

• You can view and update your account details from your account settings.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from "Manage billing."
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those rights where they apply.

Children's privacy

ManyQuills is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's involvement. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and trusted payment and email providers — to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and notify you of material changes where appropriate.
